Andre Ziegers UK is a specialist tiling company based in Wimbledon. The company covers all types of natural stone and porcelain installation, inside the house and outside it, from a single bathroom to a terrace, a staircase or a whole ground floor.
Andre works for private clients and alongside architects, builders and interior designers, turning their drawings and ideas into finished floors and walls. The photo here is one example: a town-house lightwell paved in dark stone, with a pale square set in wherever four tiles meet, and the steps clad to match.
If you’re looking for a tiler in Wimbledon who is as comfortable with a book-matched stone bathroom as with a porcelain patio, this is the company to call.

More about re-grouting, re-sealing and repairsWhat goes into the work
Most of what makes a tiled floor or wall last is done before anyone sees a tile. These four stages are part of every job.
The surface is checked and made sound, flat and clean. Tiles copy whatever is underneath them, so a floor that is out of level is put right first.
Showers and wet rooms are tanked before tiling: a waterproof layer behind the tiles, so water cannot reach the structure.
The layout is planned before anything is fixed: where the pattern centres, where the cuts fall and how the joints line up with doors and drains.
Tiles are bedded fully in the right adhesive, then grouted, and natural stone is sealed. Edges, trims and sealant joints are finished cleanly.

Yes. Outside work is a large part of what we do: porcelain and natural stone patios, raised terraces, driveways, front paths, garden walkways and steps. Outdoor tiling needs a solid base, a slight fall for drainage and materials made for frost and rain, so it is set out and built differently from an indoor floor.
Yes. Natural stone is a specialism. We fix limestone, sandstone, granite, marble and other natural stone, including book-matched slabs for bathrooms, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, as well as porcelain and ceramic tiles of every size.
Yes. Showers and wet rooms are tanked before they are tiled, which means a waterproof layer is applied to the walls and floor behind the tiles. Grout alone does not keep water out, so tanking is what protects the room and the ceiling below it.
Yes. Tiles and stone work well over underfloor heating because they conduct and hold heat. The floor is prepared for it and fixed with flexible adhesive and grout, so the tiles can cope with the floor warming up and cooling down.
Yes. Large format tiles and slabs need a very flat base, full adhesive coverage and careful handling, and levelling clips are used to keep the edges of neighbouring tiles flush while the adhesive sets. We lay them on floors and walls indoors and as paving outside.
Yes. Outdoor porcelain is made in thicker slabs than indoor tiles, and it absorbs almost no water, so it copes well with frost and is easy to keep clean. It can match or closely follow the tile used indoors, which suits a kitchen that opens onto a terrace.
Yes. We re-grout tiled walls and floors, re-seal natural stone and carry out repairs, such as replacing cracked or loose tiles. It is often possible to bring a tired floor or bathroom back without retiling it.

It depends on the size of the area, the tile or stone, the pattern and how much preparation the surface needs. Large format tiles, natural stone and patterned layouts take longer to fix than plain ceramic. Tell us about the job and we’ll give you a price for it before any work starts.
